Summary

Illicit passion.

In the sector of Carcassonne medieval city known as « les lices » takes place a meeting « by chance » between two men, one summer evening. They had attended the same university but did not recognize one another. One of them, with a nature as generous as a St. Bernard is particularly sensitive to the other’s sufferings. This latter tells the sad story of his life, and finishes by revealing that they had known each other, that he had loved the other with a hopeless passion! Stunned by such a revelation, however…..
