A very aggressive and painful relationship separates a grandmother from her granddaughter. The latter (whose mother is absent) hates the former for the simple reason that she is old, but, unconsciously, also because she is her father’s mother! The grandmother tries out a trick in order to make acceptable certain ideas that the granddaughter would violently reject if presented directly to her. Instead, grandma presents her own version of a well-known story.
Vassilissa is the little girl, the grandmother is Baba Yaga.
